Natalia is Head of Industry Research at EMIS and is responsible for the coverage and publishing of industry content. Natalia has been working at the company since 2007, starting as a content manager and senior analyst before heading the Industry Research team. Natalia has a BA degree in International Relations and an MA degree in International Economics from the University of National and World Economy (Bulgaria).

Velizar has over a decade of experience analyzing and evaluating M&A transactions within global emerging markets. Before this, he specialized in reporting on capital markets, public finances, and macroeconomic trends in Emerging Europe. Velizar holds an MA degree in Business Administration from Sofia University.

Adriano is a research economist, playing a pivotal role in our industry and macroeconomic analysis for Brazil. His areas of expertise include banking, public finance and retail. He previously worked as an economics specialist at the Federation of Industries of the State of Sao Paulo, where he was in charge of covering public policies for the manufacturing sector. Adriano holds a doctorate degree in economics at the University of Sao Paulo.

Xintong (Olivia) is our Shanghai-based China Research Economist. She comes from a policy background with three years of experience facilitating and regulating China& foreign direct investment and outward direct investment before joining the company. Xintong holds a Master’s Degree in International Affairs and has specialised in International Finance and Economic Policy at Columbia University, USA.

Nicolás Echeverry is a research economist, responsible for our Colombia insights. He has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Colombia’s National University and a MA in economics from Los Andes University (Colombia). Nicolás has four years of prior experience on fiscal and macroeconomic research and data analysis.

Biliana heads the company's linguistic editors department. She has BA and MA degrees respectively in English and American Studies from the Sofia University St. Kliment Orhidski. Biliana has 20 years of experience in the news media industry, spanning through journalism, copy editing and media analysis.

Gabriela is a part of our Industry Research Team, responsible for the coverage and publishing of industry content for Turkey, Russia, Africa and Indonesia. Gabriela has been with the company for over five years, starting as an analyst for Turkey. She has over 15 years of experience in media, industry and macro analysis.

Nikoleta started working at the company in 2013 as a freelance research analyst, responsible for the elaboration of industry reports on Brazil, Colombia and other countries in Latin America. In 2017, she took over the full-time position of Researcher, mainly focusing on the substantive editing of industry reports for the Latin American region. Nikoleta has an MA degree in Portuguese language and an MA degree in Business Administration from the Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski.

Mihail holds a business degree from the University for National and World Economy in Sofia and an English degree from Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia. He joined the editorial team at EMIS in 2021 as a researcher for Southeast Asia. He has 15 years of editorial experience in business, technology, geopolitics, and monetary policy.

Zhengliang is the China Researcher at ISI Emerging Markets Group, responsible for our China industry content and outreach initiatives. He holds a BA degree in Business and Economics and an MSc degree in Economics and Econometrics from the University Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany. Zhengliang has six years of experience in industry research and planning.
