Agriculture is one of the most important sectors and the main source of hard currency for the Russian economy. The sector of agriculture, hunting, forestry and fishery accounted for 3.4% of the country’s total GVA in 2019, while exports of food and agriculture stuffs contributed a 5.8% share to overall exports.
