The Company is a Public Limited Company incorporated and domiciled in the Kingdom of Bhutan.
The Company was incorporated on 7th January 1975 under the Charter of His Majesty the fourth Druk Gyalpo Jigme Singye Wangchuk, primarily to meet the Insurance need of its citizens as well as to actively participate in the economic development of the nation.
The Company was subsequently registered in the year 1991 under the companies act of the Kingdom of Bhutan .
The Company has its registered office at Thimphu, Regional office at Phuentsholing and Branch Offices at Gelephu, Samdrupjongkhar, Trashigang, Mongar, Bhumthang, Khuruthang, Paro, Gedu and Samtse.
The Company has an excellent working relationship between the management and staff at all levels, and close coordination between the management and the staff has contributed to the success of the corporation over the years.
The Company changed its name from RICB to RICBL , by vertue of amendments made in its articles of incorporation duly endorsed by the registerar of companies with effect from year 2004.
The Company listed on the Royal Securities Exchange of Bhutan in 1993.
