Doctors Hospital Health System Limited was founded in 1955 by the Dr. Meyer Rassin under the name The Rassin Hospital. In 1986 A group of Bahamian physicians bought the facility and renamed it Doctors Hospital. In 1993, the hospital completed an $8.5 million, 50,000-square-foot expansion and then became a publicly traded company in 1999. It provides healthcare services such as: intensive, surgical care, imaging, laboratory, therapy, pharmaceutical and emergency services.
