ABACO S.R.L. is a company located in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was founded in 1928 by Julio Jawerbaum as "LA J.J.", a small brush and brush factory on Venezuela Street. Later, the company moved to Venezuela Street 4009 and added a hardware store. During the scarcity caused by the war in 1939, ABACO S.R.L. obtained a quota of nails through its relationship with TAMET, a manufacturer of steel products, which allowed them to enter the wholesale metallurgical industry. In 1945, ABACO S.R.L. established commercial relations with Establecimientos Metalúrgicos Santa Rosa S.A., a large steel company at the time. Shortly after, they formed a significant relationship with Acindar S.A., which continues to this day. In 1961, the company transformed into Jawerbaum S.C.A. when Julio's sons, Bernardo, David, and Tulio César, joined the firm. The following year, ABACO S.R.L. relocated to Donato Alvarez Street 525, where they had a 1000 m2 facility and a loading and unloading apparatus. In 1967, the company underwent another name change and became ABACO S.H.
