Russian insurance market lags behind digitalisation trend

The Russian insurance market has a low degree of digitalisation with 36% of Russians being unaware of the online insurance option, a survey by the NAFI Research Center showed. As many as 11% of Russians obtained insurance policies online over the past year, a figure that has remained virtually the same since 2016. The buyers of insurance policies online are primarily people aged from 25-34 (16%) and people with high incomes (17%).
