Peruvian banking sector profits grow 14.7% y/y in Jan-Sept
The Peruvian banking sector recorded USD 2.10bn in profits in the first nine months of 2019, M-Brain News Monitoring reported citing figures released by the industry's watchdog SBS. This result represents an increase of 14.7% compared to the same period last year.
SBS also revealed that the country's 15 largest banks collected PEN 19.77bn in interests from customers with loans between January and September. The sector also recorded an ROE ratio of 18.9% during the period of reference.
